I’m from the Philippines :)
I am both a pathologic (clinical) and cosmetic dermatologist. I want to improve the lives of others in a glamorous way! hahaha. Most people don’t realize that being afflicted with a skin disease or having flaws can be attributed to low self esteem thus leading to social avoidance or worse, depression. I’m glad that we share that goal! hahaha
no problem! are you from the US? I heard Dermatology is a very competitive field
hey there! I’ve always wanted to be a dermatologist since I was 8 :) I can honestly say that I took up medicine to become a dermatologist hahaha :) Dermatology is a field that is continuously evolving. Aside from that, Dermatology does not only deal with the skin only but there are other fields involved such as Surgery,Pathology, IM, Pediatrics,Immunology Gynecology to name a few. I agree, some of the cases are pretty gross, but I can tolerate it better than bloody stuff. The cosmetic/aesthetic field is also rewarding. It may seem shallow, but we live in a world wherein appearance matters, and people nowadays are conscious with how they look like, etc. Studying derma is a perfect excuse to “enhance” yourself, haha! Hope this helps! If Dermatology is in your heart, go for it! Don’t let other people tell you otherwise :)
I’ve been using my loden Longchamp medium long handle bag since the first day of pre-residency. I love my bag. It is my first (and only) semi-luxury bag that I own. Plus, it is dark green could also be considered a neutral color nowadays. It is also the color of the house of Slytherin! Haha
Longchamp bags are very commuter-friendly. Since I take the train or cab to work, zipper is a must!
It also is very spacious. I need something that can fit my heels, blazer and books. It perfectly does the job well!
I love my bag, but I believe it is a over used to be honest. Sure I’d love to have another medium long handle Longchamp preferably in orange, peacock and cyclamen. But it costs almost 10 grand. I’m very shy to ask again for something that expensive, since it will take awhile before we get our stipend.
I know impostor Longchamp bags are very rampant in the market that you can’t even tell the difference between the original and the fake. I admit, I have a few designer impostor bags. Sure they look the same with the original, but at the end of the day, I feel empty. I don’t use any of them anymore.
Currently, I’m in a world where appearance matters. Everyone including myself talk about other people’s clothes, bags, shoes, etc. It sounds a little immature I know. People have preconceived ideas of what Dermatologists should look like. I got this from Facebook:

Aside from being competent, dressing the part makes us feel confident, and if you feel confident, patients won’t doubt your credibility. O diba? Power image is important!
I don’t care if it doesn’t have a brand name (or a popular brand). As long as it is sturdy, plus all of the qualities of a medium longhandle longchamp and most importantly should be around 2 to 5 grand! Hope to see you soon, my future bag! ☺
